Wheatland Crossing School to Host Student Conference Day

The Educational Partnership Foundation Funds Youth Empowering Day at Wheatland Crossing School
Standard, AB – On Thursday, May 4th, Wheatland Crossing School will be hosting their first ever “Empowering our Youth” Student Conference Day.  This is a full day event for all students from kindergarten to grade 12.  The students will be given the unique learning opportunity to see several speakers, entertainers and experts present on various educational topics throughout the day.  The Educational Partnership Foundation has helped make this day possible by graciously providing Wheatland Crossing School with a $500 grant.

Some of the sessions provided on Student Conference Day focus on motivation, goal setting, making positive choices, team building, health and wellness, fitness, technology and the arts.  The sessions are interactive and students will have the opportunity to become engaged in various topics.  Each of the sessions involves a variety of grades and this encourages students to build relationships with one another, improve school spirit, and build a safe and caring environment within the building.  The project has allowed for many students to become involved during the planning stages and many local experts and volunteers will be involved the day of.

This is a day that Wheatland Crossing School hopes to make an annual event.  They look forward to a day full of unique learning opportunities, enthusiasm and coyote pride!

“These students will learn so many life lessons on this day and it is such an honour for TEPF to support this project and help these students grow” explains Din Ladak, President & CEO of TEPF.

TEPF will be visiting Wheatland Crossing School to present their grant at 9:00am on May 4, 2017.
