The 24th Annual Legends for Learners Charity Golf Tournament, presented by The Lawrence Schafer Foundation on August 11, 2025, was nothing short of extraordinary. This year’s event brought together an incredible community of sponsors, donors, volunteers, speakers, golfers—and of course, our Legends—to celebrate education, connection, and the power of opportunity. Thanks to the remarkable generosity of everyone involved, the tournament raised a record‑breaking $232,385 in support of TEPF’s Literacy and Trades Careers programs.
A Day on the Course with True Legends
The tournament welcomed an outstanding group of Legends, whose support continues to elevate this event year after year. Their presence is a reminder of the deep community roots behind Legends for Learners and the shared belief that every young person deserves the chance to build a bright future.
Each Legend— including our 2025 VIP Legend Randy ‘The Natural’ Couture—played a meaningful role in making this year’s event such a success. The Legends’ ongoing commitment to TEPF’s mission inspires us, and we can’t wait to welcome them back for the 25th Anniversary tournament next year.
Food, Drinks, Tee Gifts, and Auction Success
Golfers were treated to a fantastic selection of food and beverages throughout the day, with on‑course stations offering everything from hearty bites to refreshing drinks that kept everyone fuelled and energized. The mix of great food, cold beverages, course games and friendly rivalry added to the relaxed, celebratory atmosphere that makes Legends for Learners such a memorable experience year after year.
The excitement continued off the course with this year’s online auction, which featured a wide range of unique items and experiences. Supporters bid enthusiastically from both the clubhouse and home, helping drive the tournament to its record‑breaking fundraising total. The auction has become a beloved part of the event, giving even more people the chance to participate and contribute to TEPF’s literacy and trades education programs.
Golfers also went home with some fantastic tee gifts, generously provided by our sponsors, adding an extra touch of excitement to an already memorable day.
Community Support That Changes Lives
The impact of this event extends far beyond the golf course. Every dollar raised helps empower learners of all ages through hands‑on trades exploration, literacy development, and career‑building opportunities that open doors to brighter futures.
