TEPF Presents a Grant to Rocky View Schools for the Attendance Innovation Campaign

$2,000 Grant awarded by The Educational Partnership Foundation to the Attendance Innovation Campaign in Beiseker, Alberta

The Attendance Innovation Campaign has been awarded $2,000 by The Educational Partnership Foundation (TEPF) to help spread the message of regular school attendance to the communities of Airdrie and Beiseker, Alberta.

The Attendance Innovation Campaign is a new Rocky View Schools initiative that aims to educate communities on the importance of attendance, empower schools to utilize data to guide and improve practice, and eliminate barriers to student attendance through timely and effective interventions. Beiseker Community School is one of four pilot schools that had been selected to participate in the Campaign alongside R.J. Hawkey Elementary School, Muriel Clayton Middle School, and W.H. Croxford High School. The awarded funds will be used to produce bus advertising and other print materials that highlight how school success begins with school attendance.

“Teaching students that attendance is important, while exemplifying compassion at the same time, is a gracious action that TEPF is happy to support. The Attendance Innovation Campaign is an exceptional initiative!” – Din Ladak, President & CEO of TEPF.

On November 7th at 1:00pm, Din Ladak presented Beiseker Community School Administrators, Fraser Montgomery and Derek Keenan, and Campaign Lead, Dr. Mitchell Colp, with the grant.
